10 Gift Ideas of the Travel Lover

The gift giving season is upon us! No matter what holiday you celebrate or if you have a loved one’s birthday coming up, I want to be here to help you. This list is designed to help you find the perfect gift for the travel lover in your life!

#1: Watercolor Art Print- Travel Destination

There is no better way to remember an amazing trip than with a beautiful memento! People take numerous photos during their trips, but you often only see a glimpse of them on social media. Let them be reminded of the memories year round with a beautiful watercolor painting of their favorite destination! Tori is a family friend and the image above is a beautiful picture of Lake Moraine in Banff, Canada that she painted for me! Send her a picture and she can make a beautiful custom one, or alternatively you can shop the ones she already has available on her website. Cost: $10-$50

#2: Enso Rings

If your travel lover is recently engaged or is married, sometimes they don’t always want to bring their jewelry on adventures away from home. Enso rings are sleek, simple and can handle the hardships and rigors of extended travel! They are great for hiking, swimming, traveling to another country or even just working around the house during your next DIY project. I love that there are multiple collections with a great group of colors to choose from. Cost: $8-35

#3: Bombas Wool Socks

There is nothing worse than getting stuck in the rain and getting your feet wet while traveling! Any traveler would love a solid pair of wool socks to keep their feet warm in the winter and help whenever those random showers throw a wrench in their plans! These socks are perfect for those who live in colder weather or who love to ski/snowboard as well. I love Bombas because of the quality of their product and they also give back to the community as well. Cost: ~$22-60

#4: Rechargeable Hand Warmers

These handy rechargeable hand warmers have been all the rave this year and for good reason! Say goodbye to antiquated hand warmers you have to shake up and stick in your socks, as the new year is here with some very useful and awesome technology! They charge with a USB port and can last up to 12 hours! This gift is a great idea for those who love to hike, ski, and explore outdoor markets (or for people who just like a little extra warmth at the end of the day). Cost: $22

#5: Travel Themed Puzzles

There is nothing better to do in the winter or with family during the holidays than a good puzzle! They are so calming and give you the time to catch up with loved ones! There are so many great travel themed puzzles out there, but I particularly love those sold by UnCommon Goods. The Vintage National Parks, The Wanderlust, and the Vintage postcards ones would make for fantastic gifts!

#6: Coffee Table Books

Even though travelers might not spend a ton of time at home, it is great to sit down in front of the TV and be reminded of beautiful places or scenery that they may have visited or desire to visit in the future. A coffee table book is a great gift to provide inspiration or provoke nostalgia for memorable trips from the past. . If your traveler loves the coast/beach, I recommend heading to Cailini Coastal’s website for some great, appropriately-themed coffee table books. Another great place to shop would be PBS, who has coffee table books like 100 Hikes of a Lifetime or my favorite the Destinations of a Lifetime. Cost: $20-45

#7: Simple Headphones for Airplane

There is nothing worse than boarding a flight and realizing you don’t have headphones that can connect with the seat monitor to watch a movie. An easy gift/stocking stuffer this year would be a simple pair of headphones for your traveler to keep stashed in their bag for these dreaded moments! This is a very easy and affordable gift that serves a practical purpose to boot. Cost: $8

#8: Ticket Master Gift Card

A lot of friends that I know love to travel to see specific events, like concerts or sports. What better way to help them on those adventures than helping with the cost of those events? Many events, especially sports and big concerts, are on TicketMaster so a gift card for $25-$50 can help make these events much more affordable. You can give it to them via email to be efficient. I also think a super cute idea would be to make something on Canva to print out to open as a physical gift!

#9: Zit Patches

There is nothing worse than getting to a travel destination and all of a sudden your face decides to break out! There aren’t always easy solutions to clear your face, but zit patches are a quick and easy solution while on the go. You get 48 patches for $12, which I think is a fantastic deal!

#10: Thrifty Traveler Premium Membership

Paying for a travel lover’s trip would be a lot of money, so why not help pay for them to get the best flight deal on their trip? Thrifty Traveler has an annual subscription that provides your travel friend with daily emails about the best flights domestically and internationally from their home city. They will thank you when they book a flight to Europe or across the U.S. for $200 instead of $500! I also love that Thrifty Traveler has deals for miles redemptions with Delta, American and others as well. Cost: $49. Use the code “TTT10” for $10 off!
