Exploring Georgia is one of my favorite things to do because it has so much to offer! As I mentioned in my last blog post about Atlanta AirBnb’s, sometimes it is worth it to find a unique place if you can’t travel far during this weird time. Today, I am highlighting the most unique AirBnb’s all across the state of Georgia. From the north Georgia mountains to the Golden Isles to Athens and Savannah, this list has it all!
#1: Stay Bird Bus at Eco-Farm Homestead
Staying in a school bus that is completely renovated? Sign me up! This unique Georgia Airbnb is located in Canton, which is 45 minutes from downtown Atlanta. It can sleep 4 guests between a king and double bed. A stunning indoor renovation including a breakfast nook, an outdoor fire pit with anorak chairs and a hammock. On the grounds of the Airbnb site there is a full bathroom and a guest lounge to hang out and relax in. The site is located 1 minute from Lake Allatoona where you can enjoy a sunny day on the water! They even have a local company they work with for kayaks, floats and fishing rentals.
There is a 2 night minimum stay and it is the same cost regardless of weekdays or weekends.

#2: Glamping GeoDome near Carters Lake
Just 15 minutes south from downtown Ellijay, this unique Georgia Airbnb offers a very outdoorsy experience. This Geo Dome is located on a 7 acre farm sleeping 5 people with one queen bed and two twin beds. There is an outdoor shower and bathtub to put you one with nature. It will get hot in the summers but it cools off in the nighttime perfect for some outdoor dining. Their cowboy kitchen comes with all the materials you will need. Make sure to explore the local Ellijay wineries like Chateau Meichtry and Ott Farms. Make sure you hike Fall Branch Falls and Emery Creek Falls. Their first open weekend is in June but they do have some weekdays available in May.
There is a 2 night minimum stay.

#3: Cherry Blossom Yurt on Lookout Mountain
Right near the Georgia border, this unique yurt offers one of kind views! A king sized bed with a full bathroom and a full kitchen is for a perfect for a weekend getaway. It only sleeps two guests but offers a great outdoor experience as well. Make sure you check out Cloudland Canyon State Park and snag a reservation at Lulu Land Lake Trust for great local hikes. The yurt is booked up a lot on the weekends but there are many weekday nights available in the next few months.
There is no minimum night for weekdays.

Weekends you do have to book both nights.

#4: Reel Blues Boat
Wanting a way to escape and make sure no one else is around? Sleeping on a boat right near downtown Savannah and Tybee island is the perfect unique spot. It might seem weird to sleep on a boat you can’t take off the dock, but it offers many amenities. This unique Georgia Airbnb sleeps 4 guests with a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in another. It has two full bathrooms and a full kitchen. The perks of it being right on the water means you can see the dolphins swim up in the morning and enjoy a sunset view with a cocktail in the cockpit. In the afternoons you can spend it tanning on the large bow deck.
There is a 2 night minimum stay and the price does change if you add more people. Their first weekend availability is in June with some weekday openings in May.

#5: Glamping ’60s Style
Not feeling the house boat style, no worries! This other unique Georgia Airbnb is also located in Savannah! It is perfectly located only 15 minutes from downtown Savannah and 15 minutes from Tybee Island. Glamping in this camper includes a full double bed perfect for two guests with a fully stocked kitchen. An outdoor and private outdoor tub takes this unique AirBnb to the next level. Add in a fire pit and a hammock perfect for an evening outdoors.
There isn’t any minimum night stay.

#6: Schoolhouse Cottage
Stepping back into time, this unique Georgia Airbnb is a really special one. A two bedroom schoolhouse nestled in the heart of Dahlonega that can sleep up to 5 guests. Beautifully decorated to bring out the historical charm with a full kitchen and a stunning porch perfect for an afternoon book or star gazing. Downtown Dahlonega has great restaurants and you are super close to Georgia’s highest waterfall Amicalola Falls. This would be perfect for a family trip or a couples getaway. Another perk is that this spot is also dog friendly!
They have some openings in June in August coming up.
They do have a 3 night minimum stay on weekdays.

#7: Hobbit’s Hollow
Any Lord of the Ring fans out there? You don’t have to head all the way to New Zealand to explore a hobbit’s resting spot. Located 3 miles from downtown Savannah, this tiny house hosts 4 guests on a double bed that is lofted and a sofa bed. Make sure you hop over to River Street for some delicious taffy while you are in Savannah.
Right now they only have dates open in mid April and mid May.
There is a 4 night minimum stay on weeknights.
Total weekday cost: $405
#8: Harry Potter Fan’s Dream
When I found this spot, I knew I would be drooling because it is truly a unique spot. Located in Chickamauga right near the border, this unique Airbnb sleeps 4 people on two twin beds and has a pullout couch. It is decked out with Harry Potter paraphernalia that you can spend all weekend exploring. Hop up to Chattanooga for the day to explore or hop over to the Lulu Land Lake Trust for a great hike.
This AirBnB is really popular and booked up until the fall, but if you have a Harry Potter lover in your life go ahead and book early for a birthday or special event! If there is a cancellation there are some pop up dates in April right now.
It is the same price for weekdays and weekends.

#9: Loft + Art Gallery
Located in the middle of the state, this loft right outside downtown Macon is perfect for a unique experience. Macon is filled with historical sites, delicious restaurants and breweries. This loft can have 2 guests in it with its king sized bed. The loft itself is a work of art filled with it every room exquisitely decorated in a modern style. Stocked with a full size kitchen and a luxurious bathroom, this would be a great escape.
Weekday and weekend total cost: $204
#10: The Hidden Cottage
I wanted to make sure I found a variety of spots to cater to all travelers. The last spot is close to where my parents live and where my heart is, the lake. This cottage is the perfect weekend getaway because it has all the great things you need for a lake weekend: a hot tub, a fire pit, and a dock next to a lake. It can sleep up to 6 guests with two queen beds and an air mattress.

Times are weird right now and trying to plan any sort of vacation can be tricky.
