15 Gifts for the Travel Lover

This year for my annual gift guide, I decided to do something a little bit different! I’ve teamed up with some other great travel bloggers that I already follow and love and asked what is their top travel gift buy for this holiday season. I am first going to feature my gift recommendations and then feature the ones of local travel bloggers!

My Personal Travel Gift Picks

Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver

Do you ever get on your flight and realize that you don’t have those simple headphones that work with the old tv sets? This Bluetooth transmitter is going to fix those problems! This device allows you to connect those fancy AirPods or other wireless headphones on flights. It can also work with the Nintendo Switch as well which is very popular!

Door Stop Alarm

Safety, when you are traveling, is very important especially if you are traveling alone. My mom is always tracking my location to make sure I am safe when I travel and I know this device would give her peace of mind. If you are staying in a hotel/Airbnb by yourself, all you do is put it under your door before you go to bed tonight and set the alarm. The alarm is LOUD and will scare off any possible intruders!

Silicone Mat for Hot Hair Tools

If you are someone who travels with hot hair tools this is the item for you! You never want a hot item to ruin any of your items in your bag and this tool prevents that! If you are in a rush you can put it in your bag and be right out the door. This is also great to not damage the sink area of any hotel/Airbnb you are at!

Travel Toothbrush Case /Sanitizer

In honor of 2020 of course I had to put a sanitizer item on the list this year! I hate it when my toothbrush is just sitting in my toiletry bag with all my other items collecting dust on it. Also, when you’re in a hotel room bathroom who knows what kinds of germs are in there! This case/sanitizer is the perfect solution! You can even adjust the size if you have an electronic toothbrush!

Luggage Travel Cup Holder

There is nothing worse than having all your items in the airport and trying to locate that boarding pass with a drink in your hand. This holder solves all your problems! A quick trip to Starbucks or Chipotle before you hop on your flight, your drink will be safe. It hooks right onto your carry on and can hold up to a 24 oz cup. Also, it doesn’t spill your drink while you are moving towards your gate/plane!

Coffee Table Travel Book

Did any of your travel-loving friends just move into a new place? Even though they might not spend a lot of time at home, while they are there, they should be inspired! My sweet friend gave me this as a gift for graduate school and I love it! I spent days going through it picking out the adventures I would want to do one day! Also, it is just beautiful on the outside and perfect in any home!

2021 National Park Easel Calendar

Looking for the perfect gift for the hiking lover in your life? This calendar is perfect for them to get inspired for their next adventure while being at their home office for the foreseeable future! Also, this gift is featured on Wander North Georgia’s website so you also be supporting a local business as well!

Personalized Men’s Toiletry Bag

I have the hardest time searching for gifts for my brother and future brother in law. They are the type of people who always have what they need but they could always use an upgrade. This toiletry bag is the perfect gift to upgrade their current situation. Having a nice leather case and having it monogrammed is the perfect touch! Supporting an Etsy shop is a great idea during this season since many people rely on them for income!

Personalized Travel Print

Many of your travel-loving friends love to talk about the places they have been. The perfect way for them to reminisce is to get a print of their favorite places so it can be displayed in their home. I love that with this company you can pick 4, 6, or 9 different cities to add to their print. I highly recommend just getting the print, printing it out for them at your local Office Max, and then buying the frame at Dollar Tree. Overall a thoughtful, and affordable gift!

Yeti Tumblr

So this might be a gift you have seen before, but it is worth it! I got one of these tumblers for my Dad for father’s day and he could not stop speaking about it. He loved it so much, especially during the hot Georgia summers. If your travel lover likes to go camping, this is the perfect gift for them as well. One of our friends used it on our camping trip this summer and it kept his water cold at night and his coffee hot in the morning! For an extra $10 you can add their favorite sports team logo as well!

Gift Picks from Local Travel Bloggers

Travel Toiletry Bag

Lucy and Kevin said: “We love how it hangs so you don’t have to unpack it and repack it everywhere you go! And the compartments are big enough for a full-size product if you don’t have TSA constraints with it in a carry-on. It has lots of pockets in different sizes and the materials and zippers are top quality. I’ve had it almost a year and it’s held up wonderfully! I got the black so it doesn’t show any spills. Pro tip: the same brand has a jewelry organizer that’s just as amazing! Makes it easy to travel with jewelry without it getting all tangled and it’s small enough to throw in a personal bag if you don’t want to risk it getting lost/stolen out of a different bag”

The Backpack: Away

awaybackpackAnna and Michael said: “We spend hours researching which luggage to get, and I would HAVE to recommend The Backpack for any frequent traveler. And then I love the backpack mostly because it has a flap on the back that slides onto your suitcase! Say goodbye to back pain when walking around the airport!!! Away thinks of everything. It truly is the little things with them, but the little things make all of the difference when packing!”

Mojave Carry-On

Christina and Chris said: “We have both had our Ricardo hardcover 4-wheel spin carry-on bags for years. They have been on a countless number of trips/flights, been stuffed to the brim many times, and are still hanging in there. It’s been nearly 6 years since we found them on sale at Costco during senior year of college (started out traveling on a budget and nothing has changed!) and they have been extremely durable. I found a link for the updated version of what we have. There are several hard-cover carry-on bags out there and I have found these to be an excellent and affordable version of some pricier ones.”

Packing Cubes

Franny said: “This allows me to be able to pack more into a smaller space. I am #TeamCarryOn unless a checked bag is included in the trip, which means that my space is limited. As a plus-size person, my clothes take up more space. Hence, the packing cubes allow me to organize myself better and have more control over how much I pack for a trip.”

The Bigger Carry-On Suitcase

Rhonda said: “A high quality carry on is a must and if I could this holiday season I would love to upgrade mine with this model from Away. Known for its compression system and hidden laundry bag, it is not your average carry on! Lastly, I would love to have a built-in charger for when you can’t find a charger station!”
