6 Gift Ideas for Book Lovers

As recently as 3 years ago, I rediscovered my love for reading!. I loved reading as a kid, but that passion was ultimately replaced with other interests as I moved through high school and college. Now, discovering and diving into a new book is a relaxing way to end an evening or the week overall.  Traveling a lot allows me to read on the go during plane, train and car rides. I always know I will finish a good book while traveling because I am relaxed and want to feel those breaks from work and reality. Here are some of my best gift ideas for those book lovers in your life. Many of these exact gifts are actually on my personal list for this year as well!

#1: Book Sleeves

I discovered these beautiful book sleeves from Grace by Shan a few weeks back and I am obsessed with them! I check out books from my local library frequently and I try to take special care with them. Book sleeves to me are a fantastic solution to keep your books in great shape while on the go. Grace by Shan has a variety of colors and patterns available. I love that she caters to true millennials like myself with her Taylor Swift, Friends and Gilmore girls collections! I ordered two of these book covers for my friends and even asked for one for myself as well. Cost: $18

#2: Neck Reading Light

There is nothing worse than your partner wanting to sleep and turn the light off right when you’re in the best part of a book! Built-in lighting is the perk of having a Kindle / eBook but I love reading from physical books and have struggled to figure out a solution to this problem. I found this neck reading light last year from Carly Riordan, who loves to read as well. Adding this item to my wish list this year and I can’t wait to use it! Cost: $20

#3: Nice Book Mark

If you are a true book lover, you know that finding a good bookmark is next to impossible when the time comes to shut down. I have utilized a hand sanitizer packet, a receipt, and even a plane ticket to mark a page in my book. What better gift can there be than helping your bookworm friends deal with this issue in the future? There are so many beautiful bookmarks to find on Etsy, but I am particularly partial to the beautiful resin ones in shops like FloralResinTreasures and LittleLadyCrafter. Cost: $12

#4: Personalized Book Stamp

We all have that one friend in our life who is an avid reader! They have created their own self-curated library with how many books they buy to keep and read many times over again. A personalized book stamp would be a fantastic gift for them to make their personal library extra special. You could get them as an embossed stamp from an Etsy store like Pickled Stamps, or alternatively a traditional stamp from the Etsy store 904Custom. Cost: $15-$35

#5: KT’s Canvasses

I saw a beautiful painting done by KT’s Canvasses on Tik Tok and they are the perfect gift for the book lover in your life to decorate their home! I love all three of her bookshelf prints on her website, although I am partial to the Christmas one right now for seasonal reasons. You can pair this print with a beautiful frame as well to up the decoration! Cost: $18

#5: The Book Drop

There is nothing better than finding a book you love that no one else has heard of! The Book Drop is a fantastic company that supports an independent book store based out of Bethany Beach, Delaware. They are a subscription service that sends your book lover a fantastic read catered to their tastes once a month. I recommend gifting your friend a $38 gift card so they can try the service out for two months to see how they like the types of books and overall experience
