I have been to Asheville three different times now. Once with my spouse, once with a group of couple friends and now with a group of girlfriends for a 30th birthday celebration. Each trip we did something a little different and that is the amazing part of Asheville, it can cater to any group! This trip we did is perfect for a girls trip. Filled with an amazing airbnb great for game nights, fire building and hot tub chilling along with brewery hopping when we ventured out. Here is the itinerary we did for the perfect Asheville Girls Trip:
Lodging:
We spent majority of our money at our AirBnb for the weekend. I know AirBnb has had a lot of negative feedback but I can tell you this host and location were flawless. It is very close to the city center and has a full kitchen, wood burning fire place (fire wood included) and a hot tub. It was perfect for board game nights and drinking games. We also cooked majority of our meals here as well which helped with the overall weekend costs. This Airbnb does have a 3 night minimum stay and it looks like their price differs depending on the season.
Day #1:
Friday night when we arrived we played lots of fun games and enjoyed our time in the hot tub. We decided to sleep in and then cooked breakfast at the AirBnb. I learned this amazing hack for making bulk pancakes for a group by putting the batter in an oven pan instead of making them individually. Afterwards we got ready to go out and explore a bunch of breweries!
Burial Beer Co:
Our first stop of the brewery day was perfect even in the winter weather. Burial Beer Co. had a mulled cider that was fantastic for my non beer loving self and they even had a stout that paired with a mini donut during brunch time. They have street parking nearby and was a great first stop of our day. Burial Beer Co. opens at 12pm on the weekends.
Green Man Brewing:
Our next stop of the day was right down the road from Burial Beer Co. Green Man has an indoor and outdoor space that was nice on a sunny day. At the time there weren’t any non-beer options and we only stayed for a quick drink. This brewery wasn’t one of our favorites on the trip. Green Man Brewing at 12pm on the weekends.
Bhramari Brewing Co:
Bhramari Brewery Co. was the highlight of the day! They are not only well known for their beer but for their delicious food options. It was the perfect mid afternoon spot when you want a snack but not a full meal. We ordered the corn dog bites, bbq pork nachos, and fries. These all were fantastic little bites to share in a group! Bhramari Brewing Co. has an indoor and outdoor space as well. (heaters provided in the winter) It is first come first serve so there might be a wait but I promise you it. Great non beer options to drink as well. Bhramari Brewing Co. opens at 11am on the weekends.
Antidote:
Our last spot of the day was an amazing bar that gave me speakeasy vibes. Antidote offers a wide variety of drinks and they have gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces. Antidote doesn’t take reservations so if you have a larger group you might need to be a little patient getting a spot. I loved my French 75 by the fire on their outdoor patio. If you are a gin lover they have a flight sampling as well. Antidote opens at 1:00pm on the weekends.
After our brewery day downtown we headed back to our airbnb and enjoyed an appetizer night full of some of my favorite recipes like baked brie and a charcuterie board. We played more games like rule Jenga and shot roulette while enjoying the lovely hot tub!
Day #2:
Similar to our first day we slept in and enjoyed a lovely homemade breakfast at the AirBnb. This was a really easy way to keep costs low for the weekend! We ventured on to our second day of brewery hopping.
Hillman Beer:
Our first stop was on the other side of Asheville compared to yesterday. Hillman Beer has a great indoor and outdoor space to enjoy their fabulous drinks. They do have a hard seltzer on their menu too enjoy which I liked and they have lots of other non beer options as well. Hillman Beer opens at 11am on Saturdays and 12pm on Sundays.
French Broad River Brewing:
Right across the street was our final brewery of the weekend. French Board River was one of my favorites with a wide variety of seltzers and ciders on their menu. They also has a great indoor space with TVs to watch football on the weekends. French Broad River opens at 11am on the weekends.
Food at the Original Papa Nicks:
Outside of the last brewery was this fantastic Italian restaurant perfect for an afternoon snack. We ordered some delicious meatballs and garlic knots for the table and they did not disappoint.
Similar to Saturday night we headed back to AirBnb to cook dinner, start a fire, watch football and play some board games like Code Names. Asheville was a lovely and perfect weekend/3-day weekend spot for a girls trip.
Budget:
There were 6 of us girls and we carpooled up to Asheville in two different vehicles. We also all each bought a little bit of the groceries.
