In 2021, a good friend of mine moved to Cincinnati for her medical residency program. A Cincinnati weekend trip was never on my radar, but her temporary stay provided the perfect excuse to visit. I drove up on a Friday afternoon and returned on Monday, allowing for two full days of exploration. Although my visit took place in winter, Cincinnati offers even more to explore in the spring and summer months.
Tips for a Cincinnati Weekend Trip:
- Cincinnati primarily relies on car transportation, although public transportation is available. Expect to pay for parking at most locations, budgeting around $5-$10 per spot, particularly in downtown areas. For lodging, consider staying in the Madisonville area for proximity, or explore affordable options in Over-the-Rhine or Newport.
- When planning your trip, consult LinCinnati and Tour de Cincinnati for up-to-date information on weekend events in the city.
