Paris is one of the most touristy and popular cities in the world and the price tags for things 100% show for it. After studying in Paris for 6 weeks and going back to visit 2 times after that, these are my best go-to things to do in Paris on a Budget!
Free Walking Tours
Got this shot from an awesome Free Walking Tour in the city that I highly recommend. These types of tours are the best in my opinion because they give you TONS of historical information about the city you might not get before but also at a cheaper price because you just tip your tour guide! We also did the free Montmartre Walking Tour. It is one of the best French neighborhoods to stay in my opinion. Not as touristy but still has great access to the metro station. There is a hidden vineyard in this are as well. In the middle of the city, HOW COOL!
The Luxembourg Gardens
The Luxembourg Gardens are a great park a little outside the Latin Quarter perfect fora place to sit and soak in the city. It just also happens to be the place where the French Senate meets which is cool and historical, win win.
Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is of course of the iconic symbols of Paris and for good reason. The amount of people watching I’ve have done there over the years is on point. The tips I have for going to see it, you must do it twice.
1st: during the day when the fountains are on across the way Trocadéro Gardens
2nd: at night at the top of the hour when it lights up and sparkles because what else is more romantic
Going up it: I personally have never paid the 20+ euros to go to the very top (not worth it for the lines to me), every time I have paid the 5 euros to physically walk up to the first two levels. YES this is a difficult hike BUT there is a minimal line normally to do it and the views are equally amazing.
