Top 5 Blog Posts of 2022

2022 has come and gone and it has given me some time to look back on how Teach Travel did throughout the year. I wrote 11 new blog posts. These are the top 5 that you, my wonderful readers loved the most:

#1: 11 Georgia Hikes Worth the Hour + Drive From Atlanta

Last year I didn’t hike as much in Georgia as other states, but these 11 hikes are perfect for a day trip or a weekend! You can hit up Cloudland Canyon and James H. Floyd state park all in the same day if you are coming from the city. Heading up on the eastern side of the state, I recommend going to Vogel State Park as well as Helton Creek and De Soto all the in the same day. For your fall adventures, Fort Mountain is the perfect spot to watch the leaves change.

#2: Atlanta Restaurant Guide – Breakfast/Brunch Spots

There is so much breakfast food in Atlanta to try and so little time. I added three new spots to this blog post recently, Hen Mothers Cookhouse, Petit Chou, and Home Grown. My husband and I still love Poco Loco burritos. Also, each time I go to Sun in my Belly their cheese grits are still on top. I still have some breakfast spots to try on my list that I will update you as 2023 continues.

#3: Highlands Weekend Getaway for $770

If you are wanting a bougie but easy weekend trip close to Atlanta, The Highlands is the perfect spot. A quick drive from the city with tons of great food, hiking and waterfalls. The community is super small but makes it the perfect spot for a weekend getaway!

#4: 4 Days Kentucky Bourbon Trail Adventure for $1200

I have many friends this year planning trips to the Bourbon trail and my best tip to them is to hit the lesser known spots! My husband loved Bardstown Distillery and I hadn’t heard of it before we went. My personal favorite was Stitzel Weller with their rich historical tour. Kentucky is a beautiful state and going in the fall did not disappoint.

#5: Atlanta Restaurant Guide – Nice Dinner Spots

I was speaking to someone recently and he said that Atlanta does one thing really well in regards to food, having amazing nice dinner spots. If friends or my in-laws are coming into town I usually always suggest Talat Market or Del Bar. I have a new blog post coming out next week about my restaurant goals and I know tons of spots will be added to this list!
