Traveler Gift Guide All Under $30

TravelerGiftGuide

For the last few years, I’ve put together gift guides for the Budget Traveler, and for the Globetrotter. This year I really want to focus on items that will be very thoughtful for that traveler in your life but also affordable.

#1: Quality Picture Frames

Many travelers in your life take hundreds if not thousands of photos every trip. Although, many times when they get home, it’s the last thing on their mind to buy frames to put those beautiful pictures into. I love these frames because they come in either black or white and are very simplistic. I also love that they can hold a 4×6 picture or a 5×7 picture depending on what the receiver chooses.

#2: Honeymoon Luggage Tags

I thought 2017 was a crazy year for weddings when I had 7, but next year I have 9 weddings. A great wedding or holiday gift for those about to get married is these super cute luggage tags. When someone is going on their honeymoon they love to let everyone know it is their honeymoon. These tags show off their love of adventure and their love for each other.

#3: Travel Hair Dryer

I am the weirdo who never does my hair even while in my home country. Many of my friends need to blow dry their hair while at home and abroad. A reliable travel hairdryer is exactly what they need. Make sure the travel hair dryer has a dual voltage setting and is compact.

#4: Winter Gloves with Touchscreen

Being cold is something that is inevitable if you live in certain parts of the world. The worst is when your hands are freezing but you need to make a phone call or text something important real quick. These gloves provide warmth during those awful winter months but also convenience to utilize your phone, tablet, or even car!

#5: Stasher Bag

I hate paying for airport food more than anything. It is very overpriced and normally I don’t feel full afterward. I’ve mentioned on my Instagram that I always bring my own food to the airport. You can bring any food through security as long as it is in a container. A great container to bring to the airport and on any trip is a Stasher Bag. These bags are non-toxic, microwave, and dishwasher safe as well. Perfect for when you are on the go to keep food fresh, and great when you decide to come back home.

#6: Camping Cookware Set

I’ve mentioned more than once that camping in the next year is on my t0-do list. I tried to go over Thanksgiving but my mother wasn’t too pleased I was going to go alone. A great gift for someone who is wanting to get into camping is a cooking set. Figuring out how and when to eat while camping is a big adjustment. I love that this set comes in this little bag and with an igniter as well. All you have to do is buy a small propane tank for $10 at a local store and you are set to eat.

#7: Christmas Charging Cord

Everyone knows that getting a portable charger is a great gift to give. The portable charger is only half of what you need, you need a charging cord as well. A fun Christmas-themed charging cord is perfect for that traveler who is always on the road or might not be home for the holidays. It will definitely “light” up their face when they get it.

#8: Homesick Scented Candle

Do you have a traveler who has that one city always on their mind? One of my good friends from high school always has London on her mind. The perfect gift to remind them of that city is a scented candle. Every time they see it they will get that warm and fuzzy feeling of memories. When the candle burns out they can use the container as a vase so they will see it forever.

#9: Quality Floppy Hat

Even though it is wintertime, you can always be thinking about that tropical vacation coming up. A floppy hat is a key necessity for any beach/lake vacation or weekend. This hat I had on a lake weekend in North Carolina and it was perfect. It is very cute and very affordable!

#10: Small Travel Convertor

Every other blog post you read about the best travel gifts has a travel converter on their list. It is a fantastic gift! But many of them are very bulky to transport. This travel convertor is very compact, comes with its own bag, and is actually super cute. I love that it has a rotational system to get the right plug.

#11: Bulk Travel Toothpaste

In my previous gift guides, I’ve recommended great sealable bottles for your toiletries. Unfortunately, most of these sets you can’t refill toothpaste with. The worst feeling is packing for a trip realizing you used the last tiny tube of toothpaste. Giving this gift to your favorite traveler will help them make one less trip to the store for one small item.

#12: Quality Hiking Socks

There is nothing worse than having large blisters on your feet after a tough hike. Going hiking without quality hiking socks is not something you want to mess with. Giving the gift of excellent hiking socks will be perfect for that adventurer traveler in your life. The REI brand of socks is much cheaper than the name brands but works just as great!
